This year, on Sunday 29 November at 7pm, in the gardens of the Johannesburg Zoo, thousands and thousands of shining white globes will again cast their warm, friendly light into the hearts of young and old. For some, the sparkling globes will hold within them the best of loving memories; for others, they’ll be filled with good wishes for hope and peace and celebratory messages for Christmas and the festive season. It’s all part of the sheer magic and breathtaking beauty of the Tree of Light, which lights up the skies around us with so much happiness and goodwill ... and casts its warm glow far, far beyond what the eye can see.
Bring family and friends, bring your blanket and picnic basket, sit on the lawns and enjoy with us this wonderful, heart-warming evening, as thousands of white lights come to life for the festive season. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you.
Entry to The Zoo is free from 5p.m.; event starts at 6p.m.
